How to live victoriously in a time of instability and volatility?

The Lord says: 

"These are times of instability and volatility. Things are going to swing violently and unexpectedly in the coming months, and in ways that can confound and surprise even the smartest of brains. But as for you, My beloved, do not get overly carried away by emotions. Keep calm. Do not be anxious and do not panic, no matter what you see or what you hear in the world around you. Instead, be filled with My peace that surpasses all understanding." 

I also heard these words: "Play the long game!" Imagine a straight path ahead towards the horizon. Do not just look at the present or short term. Look at what's at the horizon. Look at the long term. Look to the Lord who is sovereign and in control. He sees the end from the beginning. Be patient. Trust that the Lord knows what He's doing in your life, and even in the world around you. That's what "play the long game" means. 

There's no doubt the world around us is changing, and changing fast. In fact, there's going to be acceleration of changes, and many things are going to happen suddenly. But fear not. Keep trusting in the Lord and keep looking to the Lord. Do not panic. Ask for the wisdom from God. Ask, and you shall receive. Ask for the leading, direction, and guidance of the Holy Spirit. 

How do you prepare in a time of instability and volatility? How do you live victoriously in such a time? First of all, receive the peace that comes only from God! 

Now, this peace from God is not just peace per se, as in the dictionary. This peace encompasses many aspects of your life. It is a big word. This peace is 'shalom' in Hebrew. Peace in every sense of the word 'peace'. It includes your safety, your wellness, your wholeness, your welfare, and even your health. So, it is not just a state of being safe and secure. But also, it is having the assurance that the Lord is still in control and the Lord is sovereign, and the Lord knows what He is doing in your life. 

In John 14:27, Jesus says, "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." 

You see, nothing can take away this peace that's inside of you. This peace that comes only from the Lord. This peace that the world cannot give. This peace is greater than any turbulence outside of you in this world, or whatever disturbing news you hear in the world. 

Just one verse before that, in John 14:26, Jesus says, "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things I said to you." 

Indeed, He has given us the Holy Spirit. And the Lord is saying to you that it's not too late yet, if you heed the Lord now. Obedience is the key. Change, when He asks you to change. Change how you see things. Change how you approach things. Move as He moves. Stop as He stops. When He says so, you say so. When He says no, you say no. Listen to the Holy Spirit that's inside of you. 

Listen to the "peace" or "un-peace" that's inside of you. Follow the peace of the Holy Spirit. And heed His warnings. And that's how you will never go wrong. Why? Because the Holy Spirit will never go wrong. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of all truth, and He is all-knowing. 

So you see, obedience is the key. Obedience to what? Obedience to the leading of the Holy Spirit. Flow with the Holy Spirit. Not just listen to those who claim or seem to be knowledgeable. Now, there's a place, of course, for the professionals. But they are just humans. They can be wrong too. They can predict wrongly too. But the Holy Spirit in you will always speak the truth. That is the difference. 

Isaiah 26:3-4 says, "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. Trust in the LORD forever, for in YAH, the LORD, is everlasting strength." 

God can keep you in perfect peace when your mind is stayed on Him, and when you trust in Him. That's what the Scripture says here. So, no matter what happens outside of you in the world, you can still trust in the Lord who is your everlasting strength. He will keep you in perfect peace. He is your everlasting strength. The strength that cannot be shaken. 

The word 'peace' here (or 'shalom' in Hebrew) comes from this word 'shalam' in Hebrew. It literally means 'to be completely and unquestionably safe and secure'. Completely and unquestionably safe and secure in Him! 

Beloved of God, what are the 'storms' that you may be facing at the moment? It may be your health. It may be financially. It may be in any area of your life. But take heart, because whatever the 'storm' may be, if your mind is stayed on YAH, the LORD, this peace (or 'shalom') will rule and reign in you and in your situation. And I want to declare by faith that this peace inside of you will drown out all those "storms"! However big these "storms" seem to be! 

Is it a health storm? Is it a financial storm? Is it a storm in your relationship or in your family? Is it a storm in your business? Is it a storm in your city, your nation, or even in the world? But I tell you what, the Lord is greater. The Lord is greater than whatever that is in the world. The Lord is greater than whatever the enemy throws at you. And as you receive this peace, this shalom peace deep inside of you, there will be such calmness and assurance that only the Lord can give. Now that's what Isaiah 26:3-4 mean here. 

Remember, in the midst of the storm, Jesus said, "Peace, be still." And you know what? The storm was calmed. The violent waves ceased. And the boat He was in sailed safely to the destination. And that's what the Lord is saying to you as well. You will sail safely to your destination, and you will fulfill all of God's plans and purposes for your life, your destiny! Amen!

Prophetic words: A time to repair, redo and restore!

The Lord says:

"For you who do My will, the enemy may be trying to attack you or do harm against you recently, be it in words, in works, or even in the physical body. But fear not! Because I have overcome for you! My blood covers you and My anointing destroys every curse that the enemy speak against you. Look to Me, and watch how I overturn and push back what the enemy does against you!" 

So, people of God, if you have been attacked left and right by the enemy recently, fear not! Because the Lord has overcome for you. And He is overturning and pushing back whatever the enemy does against you!

In Luke 10:19 (NKJV), Jesus Himself says, "Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you." 

See the words 'nothing shall by any means hurt you'? Nothing whatsoever! And the Lord has given you the authority over all the power of the enemy! Not some, but all! So right now, in the name of Jesus, take authority over all the works and words of darkness that come against you, and hold the Blood of Jesus Christ against all these. Amen! 

In Acts 28:1-6, Apostle Paul, having escaped the shipwreck due to the stormy weather, landed in an island called Malta. The natives in the island showed kindness to him and those who were shipwrecked, because of the rain that was falling and because it was cold. But when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks and laid them on the fire, a viper came out because of the heat and fastened on his hand. 

But you know what? Paul shook off the viper and he suffered no harm. 

In cross-reference, remember what Luke 10:19 says? For those who walk with God and do His will, nothing shall by any means hurt them! 

By the way, 'serpents and scorpions' are 'pictures' of the danger or harm caused by the enemy against God's people.

Back to Acts 28:1-6. The natives of the island were actually expecting Paul to swell up or suddenly drop dead, because a viper's bite could be fatal. But after they had looked for a long time and saw no harm came to him, they changed their mind about him and concluded that he was a god! Of course Paul was just a man used by the Lord God Almighty, and they didn't know it at that time.

Therefore, be encouraged today, people of God! Whatever people may say against you, whatever people try to do harm against you, or whatever the enemy try to do harm against you, fear not, if you are flowing with the Holy Spirit, and you are just doing what the Lord tells you to do and to be. They may try to cause a dent to you. They may try to attack you. But the Lord has overcome for you. And the Blood of Jesus is effective to cover you. Not only that. You are going to see yourself being used even greater by the Lord! And this was exactly what happened to Paul at that time! 

In Acts 28:7-10, it happened that the father of Publius (a leading citizen in the island) was sick with fever and dysentery (a condition in the intestines that causes diarrhea containing blood). Paul then prayed for this father of Publius, and he was healed. The healing power of the Lord flowed through Paul! And when the rest of the people in the island heard about this, all who had diseases also came to Paul to be prayed for, and they too were healed. Hallelujah!

Right now, it is the same for you! The healing anointing is being released to you right now! Receive by faith! Be healed and stay healed, in Jesus' name! Not only this healing anointing is being released to heal you, this healing anointing is also being released through you, that as you pray for others, this healing will also flow to others! This is the message for this time and season for you, that your time to receive your healing, wholeness and wellness has come! Believe and receive by faith!

The Lord says further: 

"This is the time to repair, redo, and restore; be it in your spirit, your soul, your physical body, or even in a relationship. It's not too late yet. There's still time for you to let Me repair, redo, and restore you. Receive My Spirit and My power to heal and restore you. And receive My wisdom to redo what I have spoken for you to redo in your life." 

Yes, I heard these three words for this time and season: Repair, redo, and restore. Let the Lord repair your life. Let the Lord redo your life. Let the Lord restore your life.

What is 'repair'? 'Repair' means 'to fix something that is broken, torn or damaged'. Is there any area in your life that has been broken, torn or damaged? Maybe by the devil against you, or by people against you. But the Lord says He is repairing you, and He is fixing it for you right now; whether in your spirit, your soul, your physical body, or even in any relationship that the Lord has started for you and opened the door for you! 

What is 'redo'? 'Redo' means 'to do something again or in a different way'. It can mean you have done something right before, but you have become stagnant; and the Lord is now reviving it, re-firing it, and causing you to do it again! But it can also mean 'to do something in a different way'. Maybe what you used to do in the past does not apply anymore for this new time and season that the Lord has opened for you. And the Lord is teaching you to do it in a different way. Maybe it's in a ministry. Maybe it's in your vocation. Maybe it's in the way you do business. The Lord is right now giving you the wisdom to do it in a new way in this new time and season, because if you still do what you used to do in your old time and season and try to apply it in this new time and season, it may not work. The new wine is to be contained in the new wineskin, not the old wineskin. Otherwise the old wineskin will burst! 

What is 'restore'? 'Restore' means 'to put something back to its original or pristine (unspoiled) state'. Maybe certain aspects of your life have been broken by the enemy, and the Lord is right now bringing you back and putting you back to what He has originally meant for you to be! He is restoring you back to His blessing that carries no sorrow with it! He is restoring you back to your divine health and divine strength! He is restoring you back to His divine purposes and plans for your life! Hallelujah! 

Prayer: 

"O Lord God, we thank You because You have overcome for us, and therefore, nothing that is thrown by the enemy against us shall by any means hurt us. We thank You for Your Spirit who lives in us, and Your power that works in us and through us. We let You repair, redo, and restore any area of our lives that has been broken, torn or damaged. We receive Your healing, wholeness and wellness now. In the name of Jesus. Amen."

Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them!

Isaiah 3:10 (NKJV): "Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them..."

The word 'righteous' here is from the Hebrew word 'tsadaq', which means 'to be right, to be just, to be in the truth (or to be truthful), to be cleansed (or to cleanse), to be clear (or to clear self)', whereas the word 'well' here is 'towb' in Hebrew, meaning 'beautiful, bountiful, cheerful, favorable, pleasant, prosperous, sweetness'. It describes a person who was ill, but now have regained health, or a person who was suffering lack, but now have received providence.

As I was praying in the spirit the other day, the Lord spoke these words:
"In the midst of judgment, tribulation and perilous days in the world today, do not allow yourselves to be disheartened or discouraged, and do not allow yourselves to be upset. I am the Lord your God and I will still be. And I say to the righteous that it shall be well with them. Look to Me, and look to My Word! Hang on to Me, and hang on to My Word! You will rise above every obstacle, and you shall see Me in all My glory!"

The Lord is assuring us that the ending of world history will be well for God's people. In other words, you and I (the believers) will have happy ending, in spite of all that happens in the world today! Have you ever watched a drama series where the hero and heroine went through every obstacle and finally found themselves living 'happily ever after'? Well, this kind of ending isn't always a 'fairy tale'. It will happen to you and I (the believers). Isaiah 3:10 says so! Jesus in all His glory will come and receive His bride, the church!

If you read Isaiah chapter 3, you'd have noticed this whole chapter is about judgment, tribulation and perilous times for Jerusalem and Judah. Isaiah 3:8 mentions about the stumbling and falling because 'their words and their deeds are against the Lord'.
'To be against the Lord' is 'to be against what He has spoken (i.e. the Word of God)'. 

Isaiah 3:16-17 then mentions about the consequences for those who are 'haughty (i.e. proud), walking with outstretched necks (i.e. heads held high, instead of arms held high in worship and surrender to the Lord), and wanton (i.e. seductive) eyes'. In short, this chapter shows how God's people were 'plundered' by the enemy when they departed from God (and His Word)!

But yet, in the midst of all these, there's a bright light, and there's hope! As can be seen in Isaiah 3:10! Let's read this verse again: "Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them..."

Are you righteous? Yes! 
You are made righteous through what the Lord Jesus Christ has done for you on the cross! 2 Corinthians 5:21 says, 'For He made Him (Jesus Christ) who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him'. Romans 5:19 says, 'For as by one man's (Adam's) disobedience many were made sinners, so also by One Man's (Jesus Christ's) obedience many will be made righteous'.

Is the Lord righteous! Yes! Of course!
In 2 Timothy 4:8, the apostle Paul wrote, 'Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing'. 1 Corinthians 1:30 says, 'But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God - and righteousness and sanctification and redemption'.

As He is, so are you in this world! (1 John 4:17) Therefore, walk as He walks! It can't be that you are called the righteousness of God and clothed in His righteousness, but you don't walk in righteousness! It's like saying a person who is called an army personnel and clothed in his army uniform, but he doesn't walk as an army! Be ye not just hearers, but doers of the Word (James 1:22). His Spirit in you will lead you, teach you, and guide you to walk in righteousness (Philippians 2:13). Let us not be like the Pharisees whom Jesus called as hypocrites, who 'cleanse the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of extortion and self-indulgence' (Matthew 23:25-28).

There is a clarion call for God's people these days! A time to awake to righteousness, and sin not! (1 Corinthians 15:34) You can make that choice! Let His Spirit (the Spirit of grace, i.e. His ability and His supply from heaven) help you and set you free! Hebrews 12:1-2 says, 'Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight (burden, hindrance), and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God'.

This is also a time to return to the Word! A lesson we can learn from Isaiah chapter 3 is God's people were plundered when they came against the Lord! (Isaiah 3:8) To come against the Lord is to come against the Word! Why? Because He is the Word! (John 1:1-4, John 1:14) It means to say God's people were plundered when they departed from the Word, and began walking in the ways of the world!

The key to your wellness is in the Word! Proverbs 4:20-22 says, 'My son, give attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; for they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh'. Proverbs 6:20-23 then says, 'My son, keep your father's commands and do not forsake your mother's teachings. Bind them upon your heart forever; and fasten them around your neck. When you walk, they will guide you; when you sleep, they will watch over you; when you awake, they will speak to you. For these commands are a lamp, this teaching is a light...'

Romans 8:1 says, 'There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit'. Know that the Lord is not condemning you. He loves you so very much, and He yearns for you to walk in His righteousness (Galatians 5:16-18) and be mindful of His Word (2 Peter 3:1-2). Why? Because He is getting you ready for the best that's yet to come for you!

As I was praying in the spirit and preparing for this message the other day, I also heard the Lord say: "Tell My people don't settle for the second best, or the third best. Tell them to get ready for the very best that I have prepared for them!" 

Indeed, God's promise for you is not slack! People of God, it's never too late to know you are clothed in His righteousness, and begin walking in it! And it's never too late for you to return to His Word, and begin walking according to all that is written in it! (Joshua 1:8, 2 Peter 3:7-9, 2 Peter 3:13-14, 2 Peter 3:17-18)

He can 'undo' and 'redo' your situation (however bad it may be at the moment), and turn things around for you. In Jesus' name. Amen!

Speak health & healing to yourself!

Romans 10:9-10 (NKJV): That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe with your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved (‘sozo’). For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation (‘soteria’).

If I personalize the above, it becomes like this:

I confess with my mouth the Lord Jesus Christ and believe in my heart that God has raised Him from the dead and I am saved. For with my heart I believe into righteousness and with my mouth confession is made to my salvation.

The word ‘saved’ here is ‘sozo’ in Greek, which means ‘to save (oneself), to deliver, to protect, to heal, to preserve, to make whole, to make well’, while the word ‘salvation’ is ‘soteria’ (from the word ‘sozo’), which means ‘rescue, safety, health, deliverance, salvation’.

Do you notice that the words ‘sozo’ and ‘soteria’ means more than just ‘saved’ and ‘salvation’? In fact, this same word ‘sozo’ is translated as ‘healed’ both in Mark 5:23 (“…Come and lay your hands on my daughter, that she may be ‘sozo’, and she will live.”) and Acts 14:9 (“Paul, observing him intently and seeing that he had the faith to be ‘sozo’, …). So, as you can see, the same word 'sozo' has been translated as ‘healed’ (in Mark 5:23 & Acts 14:9) and ‘saved’ (in Romans 10:9) in the Bible.

Now, as you replace the word ‘saved’/’salvation’ with ‘healed’/’healing’ in Romans 10:9-10 and personalize it for yourself, it becomes like this:

I confess with my mouth the Lord Jesus Christ and believe in my heart that God has raised Him from the dead and I am healed. For with my heart I believe into righteousness and with my mouth confession is made to my healing & health.

Romans 10:12-13 then says: “… for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be ‘sozo’, i.e. shall be saved, healed, delivered, protected, preserved, made whole, and made well! Hallelujah! He is rich to you not just in His saving grace, but also in His healing grace!

You see? Salvation and healing (divine health) go hand-in-hand. They go together. So, if you believe that you are saved, believe also that you are healed!

You may ask, “Where is the proof, pastor?”

Psalm 103:1-3 (NKJV) says: ‘Bless the Lord, o my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord, o my soul, and forget not His benefits; who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases’. ‘Forgiveness’ here speaks of your ‘salvation’, and ‘healing’ here of course speaks of your ‘healing/health’! See how one leads to the other?

1 Peter 2:24 (NKJV) says: ‘… who Himself (Jesus) bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness (i.e. in right standing with God) – by whose stripes you were healed’. Again, notice that forgiveness of sins leads to healing to your body!

Notice now what happened during the Lord’s Passover, and here’s what the Lord said to Moses in Exodus 12:7-9 (NKJV): ‘And they shall take some of the blood and put it on the two doorposts and on the lintel of the houses where they eat it. Then they shall eat the flesh on that night; roasted with fire, with unleavened bread and with bitter herbs they shall eat it. Do not eat it raw, nor boiled at all with water, but roasted in fire – its head with its legs and its entrails’.

The above is a ‘picture’ of Jesus, your 'sin offering' and your ‘burnt offering’, who died for you on the cross.

In fact, this is also the ‘foreshadow’ of the practice of Holy Communion in the New Covenant, and every time you partake of the Holy Communion, you are also reminding yourself of this ‘blood’ and ‘lamb’! The ‘blood’ (represented by the ‘juice’ you partake) here speaks of ‘forgiveness of sins’, while the ‘lamb’ eaten by God’s people (represented by the ‘bread’ you partake) speaks of ‘health, healing, and strength’.

See? Forgiveness of sins and healing/health go hand-in-hand again! Not just that, because God’s people ate of the ‘flesh’ on that night of Passover, Psalm 105:37 also says ‘there was none feeble (weak) among His tribe’. Hallelujah! Today, you are also in His ‘tribe’, the Body of Christ!

Now, here's something powerful about speaking & declaring God's Word upon yourself. Proverbs 18:21 says, Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit. It means if you ‘love’ to speak ‘life’ unto your body (or into any situation you are currently facing now), you’ll have the fruit of it, i.e. ‘health & life’! However, the opposite is also true. That’s how powerful your words can be! Therefore, choose ‘life’, and not ‘death’. Speak ‘health & healing’ unto your body, or into any area of your life that needs healing/health right now! It can even be in your financial health or relational health (with your spouse, children, etc)! 

Here’s a list of health & healing verses (personalized) for you to meditate on & speak forth to yourself:

1     1. I confess with my mouth the Lord Jesus Christ and believe in my heart that God has raised Him from the dead and I am healed. For with my heart I believe into righteousness and with my mouth confession is made to my healing & health (Romans 10:9-10).

       2. I sow to the Spirit and reap of the Spirit. I sow words of health and healing every day and daily reap health and healing every day (Galatians 6:8-9).

       3. My light breaks forth like the morning. My healing springs forth speedily and my righteousness goes before me. The glory of the Lord is my rearguard (Isaiah 58:8).

       4. Jesus has borne my griefs and carried my sorrows. He was stricken, smitten and afflicted for me. He was wounded for my transgressions. He was bruised for my iniquities. The chastisement for my peace (well-being) was upon Him and by His stripes I am healed (Isaiah 53:4-5).

       5. It is the will of God that I should prosper and be in perfect health even as my soul prospers (3 John 2).

       6. The will of God is done on earth as it is done in heaven. There is no sickness in heaven; therefore I am not sick on earth. Jesus was never sick on earth. He is in me and His life flows in me. As He is, so am I in this world (Matthew 6:10, Galatians 2:20, 1 John 4:17).

       7. I am justified by my words. I have the faith of Jesus Christ in me, because Jesus is in me. I speak to the mountains of sicknesses and they obey my words and leave (Matthew 12:37, 2 Peter 1:4, Matthew 17:20).

       8. I have authority and power over all diseases and sicknesses. I command them to leave and they obey my words. I lay hands on the sick and they recover (Matthew 10:1, Mark 16:18).

So, start speaking healing/health to yourself! Say what God says about you, not what people say about you! Now, that’s what ‘confession’ in Romans 10:9-10 means - ‘homologeo’ in Greek, which means ‘say/speak the same, or say what God says’!

Receive also His forgiveness and then let it flow out to others as well (as you forgive & ‘let go’ those who have hurt you). Also, remind yourself of the richness of His saving & healing grace (Romans 10:12) by partaking Holy Communion often. And surely, you are well on your way to your wholeness, wellness, and healing. Amen!
