You have been given the authority!

In Luke 10:19, Jesus said, "Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you."

The word 'authority' here is 'exousia' in Greek, and it can mean 'power to act, authority to act'; from the word 'exesti', which means 'permission (legal right) to do something'.

Therefore, people of God, whatever work of darkness, word of darkness, charm, witchcraft, black magic, or any unwholesome words that come against you, fear not! Because Jesus has given you His power and authority to trample on all these!

In fact, Jesus has given you the permission (legal right in the spiritual realm) to use His name! You can therefore exert this authority in His name, which is the name above all names - that every knee should bow, and every tongue should confess, that Jesus Christ is the Lord - in heaven, on earth, and under the earth! (Philippians 2:10-11)

What does 'serpents and scorpions' signify here? These signify 'anything or anyone that seek to harm you'. So right now, in the precious name of Jesus, you can hold the blood of Jesus against all those work of darkness that try to suppress you, oppress you, or even penetrate you. Amen!

Let's go back to two verses before Luke 10:19. Here's what the Scripture says in Luke 10:17-18, 'Then the seventy (disciples) returned with joy, saying, "Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name." And Jesus said to them, "I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven."'

You know what this means? You have the superior power of God over Satan and all his powers on earth! Because Satan has fallen, and because you can use the name of Jesus, just like the disciples that returned with joy, you too have this privilege and authority that has been given to you!

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever! The same Jesus those days is the same Jesus who lives in you today! And therefore if you are in Christ, there's nothing in this world that you should be afraid of. In fact, they should be afraid of you!

Therefore, rejoice and be glad, because Jesus has given you this 'exousia', just as He has spoken in the Word, and because Jesus who is in you is greater than he that is in the world! (1 John 4:4)

Hallelujah!

Look to the steadfast God!

Lamentations 3:22-23 (ESV) says, 'The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.'

Indeed, the Lord our God is a steadfast God, and His mercies never come to an end.

And because He is steadfast, you too can be steadfast while on earth, no matter what challenges, predicament, crisis, or trials you may be going through at the moment.

When the world around you may fail you, or people around you may fail you, God's love for you never fails and never ceases.

The definition of this word 'steadfast' can be 'being steady, unshakable, unshaking, unwavering, unchanging, faithful, firm, stays the same'.

So, when everything else in this world is shaken or is shaking, we have this assurance that the Lord remains the same - yesterday, today, and forever.

In an unstable, unpredictable, and volatile time like this, let us therefore look to the Lord who is steadfast. He is our Rock, our Refuge, our Firm Foundation, and our Sure Foundation. Amen!

Everyone has his or her own unique challenges on earth, at different times and different seasons. No two persons are exactly the same. But the Lord is saying to you that He understands you from the inside-out, and He understands exactly what you are going through at the moment, even if no one else on earth understands.

For some of you beloved who are going through challenges in life at the moment (whatever these may be), be rest assured that His strong arms will carry you through, and His strong hands will shield you and protect you. And through all these storms, be rest assured that He has not forsaken you nor forgotten you.

Psalm 55:22 (NKJV) says, 'Cast your burden on the Lord, and He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved (or to be shaken)'.

In Christ, you are made righteous because of what He has done for you on the cross. The Scripture says 'you are the righteousness of God through Christ' (2 Corinthians 5:21). Therefore, whatever happens around you, the Lord knows how to take care of you and sustain you, as long as you continue to look to Him.

So, take heart, and be encouraged. The Lord has spoken, and He will make it good (Numbers 23:19). He is your Stronghold and your Defense, and therefore nothing in this world will be able to shake you (Psalm 62:1-2).

Stay steadfast in the Lord and stay steadfast in your faith (1 Peter 5:8-9, Colossians 2:5-7), and you'll be sure you'll triumph and come forth victorious. In Jesus' name. Amen!

It's a key decision-making time!

Words for this time and season:

"It's a key decision-making time for many of My people in this time and season. Not minor ones, but major ones. But fear not! Because your decisions will bring you to the realm of greater victory and breakthrough. I will help you and guide you, if you look to Me. I will give you the discernment and the counsel that you need, if you look to Me."

Further words for this time and season:

"My people will not be deceived and cannot be deceived, if they hang on to Me, My Word and My Spirit. For My Word is able to make you wise. For My Spirit can help you to discern and to make wise decisions."

2 Timothy 3:13-15 (NKJV) says, 'But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them, and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.'

2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NKJV) says, 'All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.'

Indeed, God's Word is able to make you wise, and God's Word also makes you complete, so that you will be thoroughly equipped for every good work that God has called you to do on earth.

And in perilous times like these (2 Timothy 3:1-4), all the more you need His Word to guide you and prepare you for whatever that is to come in this world.

Proverbs 4:20-22 (NKJV) says, 'My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; For they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh.'

Joshua 1:8 (NKJV) says, 'This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.'

Ask the Holy Spirit to enlighten your spiritual eyes of understanding as you read His Word, because the Holy Spirit will lead you to all truth (John 16:13).

"O Lord, we come to You and we pray that You will sensitize our spirit right now, so that we will know and discern what is of You and what is not of You; and what is Your instruction and what is just a man-made idea. We desire to walk in Your perfect will and Your perfect way, and not walk according to mere human ways or the enemy's ways. We pray that You will give us the wisdom to make the right decisions in life, be it in ministry, in business, in career, in investments, or in any area of our lives. Guide us into all truth and lead us into the right direction that You have meant for us. And no matter how cunning or tricky the enemy may be in all his deceptions, we will not be deceived. We pray all these, in Jesus' name. Amen."

A time for new direction and new strategies!

Words of the Lord for this time and season:

"There’s a time of re-direction for many of My people. There’s a time of re-strategizing for many of My people. For those who humble themselves and are yielded to Me, I will show My direction and guidance. I will know how to show you a way, even a way to prosper in times like these. You will not be lost if you look to Me and put your trust in Me. Just as I remember My covenant with you, remember your covenant with Me."

These are the prophetic words for this second half of 2021:

"Further changes are coming in the spiritual realm. Get ready! Many things are going to happen suddenly in the spirit. For those who are yielded to Me and humble themselves before Me, suddenly you are going to prosper! Suddenly you are going to experience an increase, be it in favor, in wisdom, or in anointing! Suddenly you are going to experience supernatural healing, if you need any! As long as you are yielded to Me and remain humble before Me, there will be a new authority in your life. The enemy that has tried to distract you from your calling and destiny in life will not be able to touch you, because I have sent a fire wall of protection over you. Be sensitive to My Spirit. As I move, you move; as I stop, you stop; like the tabernacle those days in Moses' time, following the glory cloud."

People of God, as you cross into the second half of this year, fear not about what is to come in your future. Keep looking to the Lord and keep putting your trust in the Lord, and you'll see all that the Lord has spoken today come to pass in your life.

If you have gone through a 'blip' in your life recently, don't look back. Learn from the past, correct what you need to correct in your life, and move forward. Like Joshua who was destined to see great conquests and victory as he entered the promised land (Joshua 1:1-3), so will you be. Only be strong and be very courageous! (Joshua 1:7)

Even while in the promised land, Joshua and the people of Israel did have a 'blip' when they were defeated by the people of Ai (Joshua 7:1-5). But the Lord then said to Joshua, "Get up! Why do you lie thus on your face?" (Joshua 7:10)

After sanctifying themselves (Joshua 7:13), the Lord then said to Joshua, "Do not be afraid, nor be dismayed; take all the people of war with you, and arise, go up to Ai. See, I have given into your hand the king of Ai, his people, his city, and his land." (Joshua 8:1)

And that was when the Lord gave Joshua a new direction and a new strategy to conquer Ai (Joshua 8:4-8). And conquer they did this time!

You see, God is a God of covenant. Just as He remembered what He had spoken to Joshua and what He had promised Joshua, He remembers what He has spoken to you and what He has promised you! Even though there was a 'blip', as long as Joshua and the people of Israel turned to the Lord and 'clear what needs to be cleared', the Lord will see to it that He will be with them in their conquests!

So, be encouraged even if you've had a 'blip' in your life recently. The Lord hasn't forgotten you or forsaken you.

People of God, this is an important time to remember your covenant with God. Because when everything else on earth falls apart, His covenant with you will not fall apart. This covenant is the very foundation of who you are in Him, and as long as you remember and hold on to this covenant He has made with you (through the blood of Jesus shed for you on the cross), nothing in this world will be able to shake you!

Why is your covenant with God so important?

Let me explain in the simplest form. In Abraham's days, when two families (or two tribes) made a covenant together, they gave to one another all that they had and all that they represented. It means these two families were no longer two, but one. The two families bound themselves together in blood agreements to be a strength when the other is weak. It means if family A is weak, family B will be a strength. And if family B is weak, family A will be a strength. That's how together, they were both strong

But in this covenant between you and God, it's even better! Why? Because God has no weaknesses. Only you have. So, when you have this blood covenant with God (through the blood of Jesus shed for you on the cross), it means He will always be a strength to you! He will always be a strength to you in your time of weaknesses or in your time of trouble!

And if He is with you, who can be against you?
