Believing, you shall be established!

I had a dream the other day. I saw the map of different nations. Some nations have more light, and some nations have less light. There are different levels of light for each nation. Then I saw some of the nations with lesser light began to cast darkness on the nations with more light. The nations with lesser light seemed to cover up the other nations that have more light with some kind of cards in the shape of these nations, that block these nations from emanating light.

The Lord says:

"Keep looking to Me who is your Light. Do not be afraid nor be dismayed by the 'great multitude' that comes against you. The battle is not yours, but the battle is Mine. Be established in Me, position yourself in Me, and you shall see your victory!"

So, whether as a nation, as a people, or as an individual, whatever the enemy is coming against you, or whatever the enemy tries to throw at you, the Lord has these words of assurance for you. Keep looking to Him who is your Light. Indeed, the battle is not yours. The battle is the Lord's. Fear not therefore, as long as you keep looking to the Lord, and as long as you keep walking with the Lord.

In 2 Chronicles 20:6, Jehoshaphat said, "O Lord God of our fathers, are You not God in heaven, and do You not rule over all the kingdoms of the nations, and in Your hand is there not power and might, so that no one is able to withstand You?"

The background here is Jehoshaphat and all of Judah were looking to God for help at a time when a great multitude was coming against them.

The Lord then gave them this assurance in 2 Chronicles 20:15, "Listen, all you of Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you, King Jehoshaphat! Thus says the Lord to you: Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God's."

The Lord said further in 2 Chronicles 20:17, "You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem!"

The word 'salvation' here is 'yeshuwah'. It can mean 'victory, deliverance, aid, help, welfare, health, healing, prosperity'.

So, whatever you may be faced with at the moment, position yourself, stand still, and see the 'yeshuwah' of the Lord! The Lord will know how to deliver you, aid you, rescue you, heal you, and give you the victory!

Let's continue with 2 Chronicles 20:20. The next day, they rose early in the morning, and as they went out, Jehoshaphat stood up and said, "Hear me, O Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem: Believe in the Lord your God, and you shall be established..."

This is exactly what the Lord is saying to you right now: Believing, you shall be established!

The words 'be established' here can mean 'be strengthened, be strong, be assured, be firmed, be affirmed, be built up, be supported'.

What came after, if you read further in 2 Chronicles 20:21-30, was an amazing victory for God's people. Praise the Lord!

Maybe you have been discouraged by all those hurling and throwing by the enemy against you. Maybe you have been discouraged by all those buffeting and beating by the enemy against you. And your heads cannot be lifted up, and your hands are down. But today, the Lord is saying to you He is supporting you, He is helping you, and He has come to your aid! He is the lifter of your head. And He is the lifter of your hands. So by faith, you can lift up your hands and praise the Lord, because He has become your victory!

Let's go back now to the word 'stand' in 2 Chronicles 20:17. "You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still, and see the salvation ('yeshuwah') of the Lord, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem!"

What does this word 'stand' mean here?

To understand this word 'stand' better, let's go to Ephesians 6:10-12 in cross-reference. 'Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.'

Paul wrote here that we do not wrestle (fight) against flesh and blood; but rather, the battle is in the spiritual realm. Of course, the spiritual forces of darkness may use humans to advance their agenda.

Let's get back to the word 'stand' here. It is 'histemi' in Greek, which interestingly means 'be established'. So, Paul was actually saying, "Put on the whole armor of God, that you may 'be established' against the wiles of the devil."

"How to be strong in the Lord?"

Not by fighting the battle yourself (or with your own strength). Not by forcing yourself to be strong. But as a believer under the New Covenant, by 'putting on' the 'whole armor' of God!

The words 'to put on' here is 'enduo' in Greek, which means 'to endue with, to clothe with, be filled with, fill your thoughts with, be conscious of'.

It means the Lord wants you to wear the armor of God, to be endued with the armor of God, to be clothed with the armor of God, to be filled (so to speak) with the armor of God, to fill your thoughts (so to speak) with the armor of God, and to be conscious of the armor of God!

What is this 'armor of God'?

Ephesians 6:13-17 says, 'Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God...'

Who is this 'armor of God' here?

His name is Jesus! 'The whole armor of God' here also speaks of 'the wholeness, completeness, and the fullness of God'. In other words, you become strong in the Lord by 'putting on the whole armor of God', that is, by filling your thoughts with, or be conscious of who Jesus is in your life

Some may be asking, "You mean Jesus is my 'whole armor'?" Exactly!

This 'whole armor' is not just talking about the equipment or the items that you have seen here, i.e. the belt, the breastplate, the shoe, the shield, the helmet, and the sword. It is also not just talking about the characters, i.e. the truth, the righteousness, the good news, peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God. In other words, the belt, the breastplate, the shoe, the shield, the helmet, and the sword, these are all 'pictures' representing the Person of Jesus Christ living in you!

You see, it's not a question of what you do, or what are the equipment or the items in the 'whole armor' here, but rather, knowing who you have and who is your 'whole armor'! Jesus is the Truth! Jesus is your Righteousness! Jesus is the Good News! Jesus is the Prince of Peace! Jesus is the Author and Finisher of your faith! He is your Salvation ('Yeshuwah')! And of course, He is the Word of God! In short, He is your 'whole armor'!

Just an illustration here. Imagine yourself in a bullet-proof armored car, or in a military tank. And imagine it is a 'state of the art' and a powerful one. And you know that nothing the enemy shoots can come against you. And you feel safe in it. As a matter of fact, this whole-armored car is stronger than you are. Where are you? You are inside the whole-armored car. That's why you are safe. By yourself, you may be vulnerable to the attack of the enemy. But when the whole-armored car is over you, it is this whole-armored car that's going to protect you and defend you. So it is the same with you who are being clothed with the 'whole armor' of God!

The truth remains that the power of darkness can never withstand our Lord and His Word. The Lord is stronger! In fact, He is stronger than all the forces of the enemy in the spiritual realm put together. He is stronger than any man's plan or conspiracy on earth. Yes, He is stronger than all your challenges and problems, and that includes your health!

So, look to Him who is your Light. Look to Him who is your 'whole armor'. And you shall see yourself walking in the victory of the Lord. That's what it means by "the battle is not yours, the battle is the Lord's."

Your part is continue to look to Him, and continue to put on this 'whole armor'. You see, He is the same God - yesterday, today, and forever - in Jehoshaphat's time, in apostle Paul's time, and now in your time, and even forever more! Know that victory is yours. He has already won it for you on the cross some 2,000 years ago. Believing, you shall be established! That's what the Lord has spoken in Jehoshaphat's days at that time. And this is what the Lord is saying to you as well.

So, fear not! If the enemy is trying to cause you to think that you are defeated, the Lord has another idea. The Lord is stronger. The Lord knows how to turn things around for you. The Lord knows how to overturn the power of the enemy. Keep receiving the anointing of the Lord. You are now anointed, established, empowered, and enabled by the Holy Spirit!

You do not need to fear. You do not need to be dismayed. For the Lord is with you. The Lord will fight for you. The Lord will overcome for you. And this is His inheritance for you, even on earth right now. Amen!

Prayer:

"O Lord God, You are stronger than any force of darkness, or even all the forces of darkness in the spiritual realm put together. You are stronger than any man's plan or conspiracy. You are stronger than all our challenges and problems on earth. We believe, and we shall be established. We stand therefore, and we put on the whole armor of God. Just as in the days of Jehoshaphat, and just as the apostle Paul had written, we too shall see our salvation ('yeshuwah'), and we too shall see our victory. In Jesus' name. Amen."

The Lord says in this time and season: "Be of good cheer!"

As I was praying and worshiping the other day, the Lord simply said this: "Tell My people to be of good cheer, in spite of all the troubles they see around them, and whatever that's happening in the world right now."

Yes, be of good cheer, in spite of whatever trouble, problem, or challenges you may be facing at the moment. Take heart. There is help for you! Whatever work of the enemy that comes against you, be it sickness, disease, lack, or all other kinds of troubles, spiritually or physically, look to the Lord!

Literally, beloved, the Lord wants to put smiles back to your face.

Maybe you are going through a tough time at workplace. Maybe you are struggling with certain health issues. Maybe some family members of yours are going through a rough patch in life, and because you love them so much, you are deeply concerned. Or maybe there's a relationship issue in your life that sucks joy out of your life. Whatever your situation may be, take heart. Look to the Lord. He is a good God. He is a God who is alive. He isn't dead in your situation. He will know how to save you, deliver you, rescue you, and set you free from all your predicaments. Just do not doubt. Keep trusting in Him and His goodness in your life.

Let's begin with the definitions of 'Be of good cheer', translated from the original words spoken by Jesus. It can mean 'be bold and of good courage'. It can mean 'keep the joy of the Lord'. Nehemiah 8:10 says, 'The joy of the Lord is your strength'. It means when you keep the joy of the Lord and receive the joy of the Lord, you have the strength to carry on and look forward in your life. Another way to define 'Be of good cheer' is 'to rejoice (in spite of the troubles around you)'. It means you choose to rejoice, in spite of all those troubles and "choppy waters" around you. You can also define 'Be of good cheer' as 'having hope (that all will be well)'. It can also mean 'not getting discouraged', 'not losing faith and trust (in the Lord)', or 'facing life with confidence (in the Lord)'.

In other words, come what may, but if you have the Lord with you, you have no problem looking ahead in your life, knowing that you can count on the Lord to bring you through.

Let's go to the Scripture now. Matthew 9:2 says, 'Then behold, they brought to Jesus a paralytic lying on a bed. When Jesus saw their faith (i.e. 'a believing heart'), Jesus said to the paralytic, "Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you."'

You see, Jesus has the power to forgive sins. He then said to the paralytic, "Arise, take up your bed, and go to your house." And he was made well, arose, and departed back to his house.

Beloved, whatever that's past is past. Let the bygones be bygones. Receive the forgiveness of the Lord right now. Whatever mistake that you've made or committed in your past, this is your time to receive the forgiveness of the Lord. You know what? Forgiveness leads to your healing, whether in the spirit, soul, or physical body.

The words 'good cheer' here is 'tharseo' in Greek. It can simply mean 'be comforted' or 'have good courage'.

So, whatever your situation may be, the Lord is comforting you. The Lord is saying to you, "I will give you the strength to look ahead. I will give you the strength to carry on. I will give you good courage."

Matthew 9:20-22 says, 'And suddenly, a woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years came from behind and touched the hem of Jesus' garment. For she said to herself, "If only I may touch His garment, I shall be made well." But Jesus turned around, and when He saw her He said, "Be of good cheer, daughter; your faith has made you well." And the woman was made well from that hour.'

The words 'good cheer' here is the same word 'tharseo'.

As simple as this message may be, the Lord has spoken, "Somebody needs to hear this." And He is saying to you, whatever healing that you need, He is touching you right now. Wherever you may be, let the Lord touch you. Be healed, and stay healed, in the name of Jesus! Be well, and stay well, in the name of Jesus! Receive by faith!

Matthew 14:22-24 says, 'Jesus made His disciples get into the boat and go before Him to the other side, while He sent the multitudes away. And when He had sent the multitudes away, He went up on the mountain by Himself to pray. Now when evening came, He was alone there. But the boat was now in the middle of the sea, tossed by the waves, for the wind was contrary.' In other words, they were in "choppy waters".

Matthew 14:25-27 says, 'Now in the fourth watch (between 3:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.) of the night Jesus went to them, walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, "It is a ghost!" And they cried out for fear. But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, "Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid."'

The words 'good cheer' here is the same word again, 'tharseo'.

Here, you see that Jesus was walking on the sea. Literally, He was walking on water! That's supernatural! No one in the physical realm can do that! But Jesus is above the physical realm. He is supernatural!

Whatever "storm" or "choppy waters" you may be in at the moment, the Lord is saying to you, "With men, it may be impossible. But with Me, nothing is impossible. All things are possible." If Jesus could walk on water, Jesus can do anything to rescue you!

Matthew 14:28-29 says, 'And Peter answered Jesus and said, "Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water." So He said, "Come." And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus.'

In other words, Peter was beginning to walk in the supernatural! As long as he continued looking to Jesus, he could walk in the supernatural realm! Now it is the same with us. As long as you keep looking to Him, and not look at the left or look at the right; and as long as you're not looking at all those "stormy and choppy waters", you can walk in the supernatural realm as well. You can walk higher and above all that is in the physical realm!

Now, of course, don't get me wrong. What you've read in the verses above is just an example of your God who is supernatural. That doesn't mean you can be like a 'daredevil' and just walk on water now. If the Lord never puts in your heart to do something, then you don't try to do it by your own strength.

Let's continue with Matthew 14:30. 'But when Peter saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, "Lord, save me!" And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, "O you of little faith, why did you doubt?" And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased. Then those who were in the boat came and worshiped Him, saying, "Truly You are the Son of God."'

Yes, Jesus is the Son of the living God! Not just any prophet. Not just any teacher. But God came in the flesh.

Last but not least, let's go to John 16:33, in the words of Jesus: "These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation (i.e. 'trouble'); but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world."

Again, the words 'good cheer' here is 'tharseo' in Greek. So, all throughout the Scripture verses that we've read with the words 'good cheer' today, we have learned this word 'tharseo', meaning 'be comforted' or 'have good courage'.

So, in the midst of all those troubles around you, be it in the office, in the neighborhood, in an organization, or whatever your situation may be, the Lord is giving you the peace, the Shalom peace, right now. The peace that comes only from the Lord. The peace that you cannot get from this world. The peace that the Lord says, "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled. Let not your heart be afraid." Amen!

To wrap it up, you can personalize all these verses that I've mentioned to you, and speak these out over and over again for your ears to hear. 'Faith comes by hearing; hearing comes by the Word of God' (Romans 10:17). In other words, your faith arises when you hear the Word of God being spoken.

I can summarize it for you:

He has forgiven me (Matthew 9:2)

He has made me well (Matthew 9:22)

He has saved me from my troubles (Matthew 14:27)

He has given me peace (John 16:33a)

He has overcome for me (John 16:33b)

Indeed, I want to declare that the Lord is here, and the Lord has overcome for you. Amen!

Prayer:

"O Lord God, no matter what we may be facing at the moment, You have spoken 'Be of good cheer' ('tharseo'). Because You will surely know how to save us, deliver us, rescue us, and set us free from all our predicaments. We choose not to doubt. But we choose to put all our trust in You. You are a miracle-working God. With men, it may be impossible. But with You, all things are possible. So, we look to You in a time like this. We do not want to look at the 'storms' or 'choppy waters' around us. We do not want to look at the left or at the right. But we look to You, knowing that we can count on You. In Jesus' name. Amen."

You can experience the goodness of God!

In recent days, I was reflecting on the goodness of God in my life. I felt I needed to declare the goodness of God in this time and season, as many people are feeling hard-pressed and feeling down, even sometimes for no apparent reason. In fact, I've been ministering to many such people recently. Now, this is something spiritual.

So, in a time like this, I want to declare in the spirit that the Lord is altogether good!

Yes, no doubt, I do have my share of challenging times in different seasons of my life too, but what I know is the Lord just knows how to deliver me and rescue me. All the time! Every time! In every season of my life! He is so real!

So, whatever your past may be, let it go to the Lord. Let the bygones be bygones. There is a fresh anointing being released upon you right now. You can have a fresh new start!

Give thanks to the Lord that whatever that's past, the Lord has forgiven you, and the Lord has fresh new things in store ahead of you!

This is your time to be set free from your past, whatever that past may be! And this is your time to begin walking in the realm of the fullness and the goodness of God!

To start off with, let's go to Psalm 23:6. Here, David wrote: 'Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.'

You see, 'all the days'! Not 'some days'. Not 'a few days'. But 'all the days'!

The word 'goodness' here is 'towb' in Hebrew. It can mean 'good (in the widest sense), good things, bountiful, beautiful, favor, kindness, pleasantness, sweetness, gladness'. In short, all of the goodness of God!

Another beautiful psalm that David wrote is Psalm 34. Here, he wrote about tasting and seeing that the Lord is good. This word 'good' here is the same word 'towb'. Let's read Psalm 34:8 now. 'Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good ('towb'); Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!'

In other words, he was writing about experiencing the goodness of God in real ways!

Yet another beautiful psalm composed by David is Psalm 136. Here, he declared the goodness of God as first and foremost in his thanksgiving unto the Lord!

Let's look at Psalm 136:1-5 now. The word 'good' here is, again, the same word 'towb'. 'Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good ('towb')! For His mercy endures forever. Oh, give thanks to the God of gods! For His mercy endures forever. Oh, give thanks to the Lord of lords! For His mercy endures forever: To Him who alone does great wonders, for His mercy endures forever; To Him who by wisdom made the heavens, for His mercy endures forever.'

Notice in Psalm 136 here, David put 'the goodness of God' at the very top, and only then, he wrote about 'God of gods', 'Lord of lords', 'God who alone does great wonders', and 'God who by wisdom made the heavens'. You know what that means? David had this revelation that God is first and foremost good, and only then, He is the Lord of all things, the Lord of signs and wonders, and the Lord of wisdom. But first and foremost, God is good!

That's the revelation that David had, that God is good, in spite of whatever he may be facing at that time!

You see, the enemy will always try to downplay the goodness of God. And he will do whatever he can to stop you from seeing, and believing, and experiencing the goodness of God in your life. Why? Because he knows how powerful God's people can be when they have this revelation of the goodness of God, like David did!

The enemy certainly doesn't want to see many "Davids" in this world, i.e. those who not only have the revelation that they are God's beloved, but also the revelation that God is indeed good in their lives!

Yes, we must admit that David had his share of troubles and challenges in life as well. But, instead of wallowing in all these, he chose to trust in the goodness of God, as you can see from the psalms you've read just now. David went on to become arguably the greatest king ever lived in the history of Israel!

What are the good things in your life that you can give thanks for? Having a good family. Having good friends. Having good health. Having good career. Having financial freedom. Or there must be something good in your life that you can give thanks for at the moment. Surely, there must be something good in your life! Now, focus on those 'good'!

Don't get me wrong here. This is not about a 'feel-good message' that denies the reality. No! But what I'm saying here is, in spite of all those troubles around you, or all those bad news around you, you can still choose to see that the Lord is indeed good in your life! And let this goodness of God grow in your life, and in every aspect of your life!

Don't just look at the 'big things'. How about those smaller things in life that you can give thanks for? Give thanks for your home. Give thanks for your bed. Remember, there are many people in this world who don't even have a good bed to sleep on. In other words, they are homeless and sleeping on the streets. Give thanks for the food on your table. Remember, someone out there may not even have such.

There are so many things for you to give thanks for, if you really look around you. Ask the Lord to show you the many other good things in your life, no matter how small or insignificant you think these may be.

Begin to thank your way to more and more good things that are coming, instead of falling into the enemy's trap of blaming your way to more and more doom and gloom in your life. Begin to give thanks to God for the smaller things in your life, and bigger things will certainly come your way! Try it, and you'll be amazed how this works! Yes, David did! And you are next!

Let us pray:

"O Lord God, we thank You for Your fresh anointing for us right now. We thank You that You want us to look ahead and receive the many more good things that You want to give to us. We are now therefore set free from our past, and we begin to walk in the realm of the fullness and the goodness of God. We declare new and exciting times are ahead of us, in spite of all those bad news that we hear around us. Indeed, surely goodness and mercy shall follow us all the days of our lives. In the name of Jesus. Amen."

Receive the key to "pray heaven down"!

In the midst of what seems to be "hell on earth" in many places nowadays, the Lord has a good news for you. He has given you the power to "pray heaven down"!

Yes, "pray heaven down" upon your life, your career, your business, your health, your household, or in any area of your life! Never underestimate the power of your prayer. Because God can do mighty things and great miracles through you!

Let's go to the Scripture now. James 5:16-18 says, '...The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. Elijah was as human as we are, and yet when he prayed earnestly that no rain would fall, none fell for three and a half years! Then, when he prayed again, the sky sent down rain and the earth began to yield its crops.'

Yes, receive the anointing like that of Elijah's! Receive this anointing for such a time as this! Whatever you pray, as long as you pray according to His will and His leading, it shall come to pass, and you shall see it happening!

What is the key to receive this anointing?

Matthew 16:13-16 says, 'When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, "Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?" So they said, "Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets." He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?" Simon Peter answered and said, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."'

Matthew 16:17 says, 'Jesus answered and said to him, "Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven."'

Here, you see that Simon Peter had the revelation of who Jesus is, that He is not like any prophet or teacher that have walked on this earth. He is more than that! He is the Son of the living God! He is God became flesh!

In Matthew 16:19, Jesus said further, "And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."

What does this Scripture verse mean?

Whatever you 'lock', it shall be 'locked'! Whatever you 'unlock', it shall be 'unlocked'! Whatever you 'stop', it shall be 'stopped'! Whatever you 'release', it shall be 'released'!

So, people of God, if you declare a stop to a certain problem, it shall be stopped in the spirit, and in turn, be reflected in the physical realm on earth!

That's how you can "pray heaven down"!

It means you pray on earth in His name, and it happens in the spiritual realm, and in turn, it will be seen and reflected in the physical realm! In other words, heaven comes down! And the good news is this can happen in any area of your life!

You see, that's how powerful you are, if you have the revelation of who Jesus is in your life! He is not just a man, or a human prophet, or a human teacher. But He is God who came on earth in the flesh! He is the Son of the living God! Without Him, nothing was made that was made!

John 1:1-4 says, 'In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.'

John 1:12-14 says, 'But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.'

As you declare that He is the Son of the living God, He is the Word of God became flesh, He came and dwelt among us, and we behold His glory, you know what? This glory falls on us! This glory comes with it the anointing and the power of His Spirit! And as you receive Him by faith, He has given you this right to become His children. That's how you're entering into the realm of the supernatural! And that's when whatever you bind on earth, it shall be bound! And whatever you release on earth, it shall be released!

So, as you declare the release of "heaven on earth", bringing hope in this hopeless world, and bringing truth to this world full of lies, you are "praying heaven down"! You are praying God's kingdom come, and God's will be done!

In addition to your own life and your own situation, on the macro level, pray for God's kingdom come, and God's will be done even upon the nation (or the nations) that God has put in your heart to pray for. Yes, pray for the Lord to intervene and prevent certain evil from happening to the nation (or the nations) that you are praying for.

If you know that the Lord has put in your heart to pray for a certain nation in this world, just obey Him. Pray according to what He has put in your heart to pray. There is a very intense spiritual battle for the nations in the world right now. This is a crucial time to pray. This is a crucial time to receive the anointing and the power to pray and to declare God's words into the spiritual realm. As you declare into the spiritual realm, it shall be reflected in the physical realm. It shall come to pass. You shall see this happening. Because you are praying in the name of Jesus, the mighty name of Jesus, the Son of the living God, the King of kings, and the Lord of lords!

Ezekiel 22:30 says, 'So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land...'

What's the background of this Bible verse? At that time, there was no one willing to 'stand in the gap'. But may you be one of those who would 'stand in the gap'!

How do you 'stand in the gap'? You 'stand in the gap' through your prayers! In other words, you can "pray heaven down" or pray the perfect will of God upon the nation (or the nations) that God has put in your heart to pray for. Pray for His will be done. Pray for His light to shine. Pray for His glory to fall. When light comes, darkness has to flee! You can declare all this in the spirit!

What other areas can you also pray for the nation (or the nations)? Pray for the right people to be raised up by the Lord for such a time as this! Pray for the "Samuels" of today. Pray for the "Esthers" of today. Pray for the "Davids" of today. Amen!

Apostle Paul wrote this in 1 Timothy 2:1-4, 'Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.'

The word 'intercessions' here is 'enteuxis' in Greek, from the word 'entugchano'. This word can mean 'to visit, to fall upon, to effect upon, to make it happen'.

So, as you do your part through your prayers, God is going to visit! God is going to effect His power upon! God is going to make it happen! His kingdom come, and His will be done on earth as it is in heaven!

What if you do not have the exact words to pray? Just pray in the spirit. Because praying in the spirit is praying in the perfect will of God!

Right now, let heaven be open! Let there be a release of God's anointing upon you! Let there be a release of God's power upon you! Let God's hands touch your hands! Lift up your hands, and let His power fall on you! Like the rain that falls on earth! Receive by faith. Hallelujah!

Prayer:

"O Lord God, we "pray heaven down". We pray for all the goodness of heaven be upon us. We pray for Your light to shine in the midst of the darkness. We pray for Your perfect will be done in each of our lives, and even for the nation and the nations You have put in our hearts to pray for. Let Your wisdom and revelation flow. Let Your glory fall. Let Your power be seen. In Jesus' name. Amen."
