Let the shackles be broken!

Words from the Lord:

"Let the shackle be broken in My anointing! Let My people be set free from their bondages and oppression! Even the bondages in their minds and of the enemy’s influences! For whatever that is not of Me shall be destroyed in the anointing!"

Oppression be broken! Depression be broken! Obsession be broken! Every sorrow be gone! Every yoke be destroyed! And every burden be lifted away!

People of God, in a time when the enemy is trying so hard to put a 'shackle' or 'chain' on you, this is a time to receive His anointing to set you free! Nothing (of the enemy) shall by any means be able to stop God's purposes from being fulfilled in your life!

Further words from the Lord:

"And I will be like the overflowing river that washes away every work of the enemy and make an utter end of the work of the enemy! I am a God of covenant, and I remember My covenant with My people! Therefore, don’t allow yourself to be held back from chasing your God-given dreams. Focus on Me and focus on running towards the prize of the upward call of God!"

Nahum 1:7-9 (NKJV) says, 'The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; And He knows those who trust in Him. But with an overflowing flood He will make an utter end of its place, and darkness will pursue His enemies. What do you conspire against the Lord? He will make an utter end of it...'

By the way, 'Nahum' ('Nekhuwm' in Hebrew) means 'the comfort or consolation (of the Lord)'; from the word 'nakham', meaning 'to comfort, to ease, to console'.

Even though the context of this book of Nahum is for the people of Judah those days, this message applies to you too, because you too are God's covenant people - through Christ

God used prophet Nahum to proclaim for His people 'the shackles are broken', and to proclaim the destruction of Nineveh (the capital city of Assyrian empire at that time), which was notorious for its cruelty, violence, idolatry and pride. This book of Nahum is therefore a message of comfort and consolation to God’s people in a time when they were living under the cruelty and bondages of the Assyrians those days.

Nahum 1:13 (Expanded) says, 'Now I will free you from their control [break his yoke from you] and tear away your chains [shackles].'

Indeed, the time is now for your 'shackles be broken', and you are being set free to be who God wants you to be!

Zechariah 9:9-12 (NKJV) says, 'Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King is coming to you; He is just and having salvation, lowly and riding on a donkey, a colt, the foal of a donkey. I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim and the horse from Jerusalem; The battle bow shall be cut off. He shall speak peace to the nations; His dominion shall be 'from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth'. As for you also, because of the blood of your covenant, I will set your prisoners free from the waterless pit. Return to the stronghold, you prisoners of hope. Even today I declare that I will restore double to you.'

Not only your 'shackles are being broken' in the anointing, the Lord also wants you to remember your covenant with Him through the blood of Jesus Christ shed for you on the cross. When everything else on earth falls apart, the Lord wants you to know His covenant with you will not fall apart. His covenant with you cannot be broken. This covenant is the very foundation of who you are in Him. As long as you remember and hold on to this covenant He has made with you the moment you received Him as your personal Savior and Lord, nothing in this world will be able to shake you!

I have explained the name 'Nahum' just now. Now, I move on to the name 'Zechariah' ('Zekar Yah' in Hebrew), which means 'the Lord remembers, or the Lord has remembered'. You know what this means? The Lord remembers you, His beloved! You are blessed because He remembers the covenant He made with you

Why is this covenant so important?
And what are the promises in His covenant with you?

- He saves you and rescues you! (Zechariah 8:7)
- He makes a way of escape for you in times of trouble! (Zechariah 9:11)
- He causes you to be a blessing! (Zechariah 8:13)
- He prospers you and gives you increase! (Zechariah 8:12)
- He restores double to you! (Zechariah 9:12)
- He gives you peace in the midst of turbulence! (Zechariah 9:10)
- He sends a fire wall of protection over you! (Zechariah 2:5)

Therefore, fear not! Because you are a people of His covenant! And whatever happens in this world or whatever the enemy tries to do, if God is for you, who can be against you? (Romans 8:31)

How to grow deeper in your spirit?

Words of the Lord:

"This is a time and season to prepare and keep building yourselves in the Word and in your spirit. Build yourselves in the most holy faith. Dig into the Word and pray in the spirit. There’s so much more I want to show you. There’s so much more I want to build in you and prepare you for the greater glory that’s coming!"

As much as you grow in the inside of you - in the Word and in the Spirit - that's how much you grow in the outside of you in this physical world. This is a spiritual truth we all need to know.

Whatever that happens in the 'inside' will be reflected in the 'outside'. A change in the 'inside' will lead to a change in the 'outside'. A transformation in the 'inside' will lead to a transformation in the 'outside'.

One example in the Bible is Daniel. In Daniel chapter 1, you can see how Daniel grew in spiritual stature. And after that, in Daniel chapter 2, he was in turn promoted by King Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon.

Daniel 1:8-13 (NKJV) says, 'But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s delicacies, nor with the wine which he drank... So Daniel said to the steward whom the chief of the eunuchs had set over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, "Please test your servants for ten days, and let them give us vegetables to eat and water to drink. Then let our appearance be examined before you, and the appearance of the young men who eat the portion of the king’s delicacies; and as you see fit, so deal with your servants."'

Here, instead of the king's delicacies, Daniel chose to eat only vegetables and drink only water

Now, what does 'vegetables' and 'water' represent here?

These are 'pictures' of God's Word and God's Spirit

In our usual Bible-study, we learn that Daniel lived a lifestyle of seeking the Lord, fasting from the king's delicacies, and not defiling or contaminating himself with the pleasures of the world. That's true, of course. Daniel's features then appeared better and more radiant than all the young men who ate the portion of the king's delicacies. The king was impressed and found Daniel (and his three friends) ten times better than all the others! (Daniel 1:18-20)

But today, I want to point you to these 'vegetables' and 'water'. Why do I say these are 'pictures' of God's Word and God's Spirit

Now, 'vegetables' here in New King James Version (NKJV) is translated as 'pulse' in King James Version (KJV). 'Pulse', as you know in English means 'edible seeds', and it can be lentils or any form of seeds. So, it's not just vegetables, but the root of these vegetables are all these seeds

In Hebrew, this word 'pulse' (edible seeds) is 'zeroa', and it simply means 'something sown'. This word comes from the word 'zara' in Hebrew, which means 'to sow seed, to conceive seed, to plant seed'.

Do you see that now? This 'zeroa' symbolizes 'the seed of God's Word'!

Let's do a cross-reference to a familiar parable - Parable of the sower - in Matthew chapter 13. In Matthew 13:23 (NKJV), Jesus said, "But he who received seed on the good ground is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and produces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty."

So, people of God, dig into the Word and pray in the spirit often!

These are keys to growing in the spirit!

Apart from growing in the Word and in the Spirit, spiritual growth can also happen through your experiences in life, as long as you are open to the Lord and yielded to the Lord.

One example in the Bible is Joseph. In Genesis chapter 37, you can see how 'unrefined' Joseph was, and how he brought a bad report about his brothers to their father.

The brothers hated him even more when he shared his dream that they would bow down to him! (Genesis 37:1-7)

What happened next? He was then thrown into a pit and sold as a slave by his brothers. Later on, in Egypt, he was thrown into a prison, being accused of something he never did (Genesis 39:19-20).

You see, experiences in life can either make or break us. It depends on how we respond to an experience (or experiences) in life. We can either choose to humble and be open to the Lord's training (and even correction), or we can choose to be angry and bitter.

As for Joseph, I believe he chose to humble and be open to the Lord.

It's therefore no surprise that by Genesis chapter 40, he was a changed man. When the chief butler and chief baker of the Pharaoh were looking sad (because they didn't know how to interpret their dreams), Joseph showed care and concern for them, and he helped them (Genesis 40:1-7). This is a far cry from the Joseph we read about in Genesis 37!

Fast forward two years later, the chief butler then remembered Joseph when the Pharaoh needed someone to interpret his dream. Joseph duly interpreted Pharaoh's dream, and the rest is history. He was promoted to be the prime minister of Egypt, only second in command to the Pharaoh himself! (Genesis 41:37-44)

You see again? A change in the 'inside' will eventually lead to a change in the 'outside'!

Prayer for today:

"O Lord, there's so much more that You want to show us, both in the Word and in the Spirit. Teach us to grow from faith to faith, from glory to glory, from grace to grace. Teach us to grow deeper in the spirit. Teach us to progress from level to level, to grow spiritually and to grow in spiritual maturity. Change us in any area that we need to be changed, and transform us in any area that we need to be transformed. We present our lives before You this day. In the name of Jesus. Amen."

Lost your way and direction in life? There's hope for you!

I was praying the other day and the Lord released these words:

"For many of My people, the enemy has been trying to cause them to lose their way and lose their direction in life. But I am telling you this is a lie of the enemy. I am still your Good Shepherd and I am still your Guiding Light in times of need. I hold the keys to your doors and I hold the keys to your breakthroughs. Look to Me, hear My voice and follow Me, and I will show you the way to your open doors and breakthroughs."

This is going to be a very pastoral message, a message that's going to minister to some of you, especially if you have lost your way in life, lost your purpose in life, or even lost your direction in life during this prolonged time of pandemic.

Luke 15:1-4 (NKJV) says, 'Then all the tax collectors and the sinners drew near to Him to hear Him. And the Pharisees and scribes complained, saying, "This Man receives sinners and eats with them." So He spoke this parable to them, saying: "What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one which is lost until he finds it?"'

Here, Jesus was explaining to the Pharisees and scribes why He chose to associate with "sinners and tax collectors". So, He told them this parable of the lost sheep where He identified Himself as a 'shepherd', and the people as 'a flock of sheep'. The 'ninety-nine sheep' here represent 'the righteous', whereas the single 'lost sheep' (in the context here, a lost sheep of Israel) represents 'the secularized and godless among the people' those days.

Even though the main context of Luke 15:1-4 is about the 'lost sheep of Israel', this parable can apply to all of us too. Maybe you aren't lost in sins, but you feel lost in life, in your purpose in life, or even in your direction in life. In fact for some of you, you don't even know who you are anymore! I know of some people, especially during this time of prolonged pandemic (or prolonged lockdown in some places) who are actually feeling this way.

Beloved, if you are one of these, take heart and be encouraged. The Lord your God hasn't forgotten you nor forsaken you. He is still the same yesterday, today, and forever. And He is still your Good Shepherd (John 10:14) and your Guiding Light (John 8:12).

In John 10:11-14 (NKJV), Jesus says, "I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep. But a hireling, he who is not the shepherd, one who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf catches the sheep and scatters them. The hireling flees because he is a hireling and does not care about the sheep. I am the Good Shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own."

Before that, in John 10:1-4 (NKJV), Jesus says, "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice."

Do you see that? He calls you by name! The truth is He is a personal God, and in every situation (or any unique situation) you are going through, He cares for you. No one may fully understand what you are going through at the moment, but He understands

You see, the world may dump you or sideline you when you are deemed to be useless. Your employer may retrench you when you are not as useful anymore. Your customers may dump you when they find another better source. This is unfortunate, but this is a fact we all face in this fallen world.

But Jesus your Good Shepherd will never dump you or sideline you. Why? Because He loves you and cares for you like none other, like no one else on earth. He is not a hireling. When danger comes, the hireling will flee and run away. But He the Good Shepherd will never flee or run away. He is still with you and He is still for you, even in times like these. And know this: He doesn't treat you like an impersonal robot or machine to be dumped when you become useless or incapable. No way!

Not only is He your Good Shepherd, He is also your Guiding Light

In John 8:12 (NKJV). Jesus says, "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life."

His light expresses His great love for you. His light, "the light of the world", guides you from the gloom of sin, and makes a way out for you. And whatever the gloominess may be in this world at the moment, be assured He knows how to make a way out for you

Therefore, look to Him and walk in His light no matter what happens around you, and you'll be sure to find the bright path to your open doors and breakthroughs. In Jesus' name. Amen.

A 3-fold anointing is being released from heaven!

I have received three distinct parts of God's words to be released to you this week. Three very distinct parts, yet these are inter-connected. You need all three in this end-time!

So, today is an apostolic and prophetic release, and not so much about teaching or pastoral message.

Words from the Lord - Part 1

"My perfect love for you casts out fear! Let Me take all your fears away, be it fear of sickness, fear of future, fear of lack, or any kind of fear that the enemy wants you to fall into. For many of you, this is the time to hang on there, even where there seems to be no headway in your situation. Look to Me and seek Me with all your hearts, and I will show you the way. I have not forsaken nor forgotten you. My love for you never fails, even when the world around you seems to fail."

1 John 4:17-18 (NKJV) says, 'Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.'

The word 'perfect' here is 'teleioo' in Greek, and it can mean 'completeness, fullness, perfectness, accomplished'. But do you know that John didn't just use the word 'teleioo'? John used 'teleioo teleioo'. It's a double 'teleioo', and it speaks of love that is "perfectly perfected" or "completely completed"! You know what this means? It's a double affirmation of God's perfect love for you, and that's why His love for you never fails! Receive His love being poured out for you today!

Words from the Lord - Part 2

"Stay innocent in Me and don’t be carried away or taken in by the wickedness and trickeries of this world. I will give you the needed wisdom if you ask of Me. I will give you the needed discernment if you ask of Me. Ask and you will receive. And whatever that is conjured up by the ‘serpent’ against you, you will be able to handle and overcome it."

In Matthew 10:16 (NKJV), Jesus says, "Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves."

Here, Jesus is not telling you to be a 'serpent'. But what He meant is whatever the 'serpent' (symbolizing the devil or his cohorts) throws at you or tries to deceive you, you will be able to handle it and overcome it.

Living in this perilous world, indeed God's love and God's wisdom need to go hand in hand. You walk in God's love, but you also need to walk in God's wisdom, because in times like these, many deceivers and scammers will surface.

Words from the Lord - Part 3

"There is a healing and wholeness taking place. My healing anointing has been released! I have arisen for My people, and I have begun to shoot My arrows against the power of the enemy. The dark clouds of the enemy is being pierced through My arrows. The dark clouds is beginning to scatter and disappear. Therefore, fear not! Start spreading this hope that I am giving to you, and stop spreading the fear that comes from the enemy! My people will begin to triumph and My people will begin to emerge stronger than ever before! I have opened the way for those who look to Me and seek Me."

Psalm 45:5-6 (NKJV) says, 'Your (God's) arrows are sharp in the heart of the King’s enemies... Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom.'

The word 'arrows' here is 'khayts' in Hebrew, and it can mean 'a piercer, a thunderbolt (i.e. a flash of lightning with a simultaneous crash of thunder)'; from the word 'khawtsats' meaning 'to sever or to cut off (in this context, the power of the enemy)'.

People of God, the healing anointing that's likened to 'thunderbolts' has been released to you from heaven! Receive by faith right now for your situation! God has begun to shoot His arrows against the power of the enemy that comes against you, and the 'dark clouds' of the enemy is being pierced through and scattered! Hallelujah!

In conclusion, this 3-fold anointing, i.e. power, love, and sound mind (wisdom and discernment) - has been released to God's people right now!

2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV) says, 'For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.'

2 Timothy 1:7 (Expanded Bible) says, '[For] God did not give us a spirit [or the Spirit] that makes us afraid [timid], but a spirit [or the Spirit] of power and love and self-control [self-discipline; or good judgment].'

Timotiyos II 1:7 (Orthodox Jewish Bible) puts it this way, 'For Hashem (the name of God) did not bestow upon us a ruach (spirit) of pachad (terror), but of gevurah (miraculous power) and of ahavah (love) and of sound havchanah (judgment).'

You see? 'Gevurah' (i.e. miraculous power of God), 'ahavah' (i.e. perfect love of God), and sound 'havchanah' (i.e. sound judgment/wisdom/discernment for you to make sound decisions in life)!

You need all three! Receive all three! And you'll see yourself triumphing and overcoming all the works of the enemy that come against you in times like these! Amen!
